At Greenstar's Millennium Park Materials Recovery waste is sorted, separated and segregrated into various waste streams for further recycling and reprocessing. The facility also operates as a collection and transfer station for Greenstar's activities covering the entire North Dublin Region from Balbriggan in the North of the county to the city centre. Waste collected by the fleet of Roll-on/Roll-off, Skip and REL trucks is processed at the MRF by being sent across numerous picking belts so that the recyclable materials can be removed and reused. Between 65-85% of all waste accepted into the facility is recovered with the residual waste transferred to fully licenced residual landfills for safe disposal.
The Millennium Park facility also serves as a waste processing (or transfer) outlet for other local third party waste operators holding waste collection permits.
A local sales team and Greenstar's centralised customer service office are located at the Millennium Park facility to facilitate order processing and customer queries.
As an EPA licenced site (W0183/01), all activities are closely monitored and regulated to ensure environmental best practice and compliance with the stringent licence conditions.
