Main Bins
General Waste Bin
Crisp wrappers, chocolate bar wrappers, used coffee cups, materials contaminated with food e.g., sandwich bags, sandwich cartons, aluminium foil, yogurt drinks / pots, napkins, condiment sachets, etc. Do not put any recyclable material in this bin.
White Paper Only Bin
Non confidential white office paper only (remove post-its from paper).
Cardboard Only Bin
Cardboard only e.g. depacking cardboard, cereal boxes and food boxes not contamainated with food. All cardboard must be flatpacked.
Smaller Bins
Plastic Water Drinking Cup Bin
Clear plastic water drinking cups only. Excess water to be poured into the reservoir at the rear of the bin before the cup is put in the bin.
Mixed Paper Only Bin
Coloured paper, brochures, pamphlets, waxed paper (photocopier paper, wrappers, etc.) (remove post its from paper), acetates and laminates.
Newspapers Only Bin
Newspapers only.
PET (Plastic) Bottles / Aluminium Cans Only Bin
Plastic Coke, 7-up bottles, water bottles and Aluminium drink cans (i.e., coke cans etc.)
Envelopes Only Bin
All types of envelopes apart from Jiffy Bags which can go in the General Waste Bin.
Post-its Only Bin
Post-its only.
Pens and Highlighters Only Bin
Pens and highlighters and any other hazardous items e.g., tip-ex etc.
Batteries Only Bin
Household Batteries Only.
Cartridges Only Bin
Cartridges and toner only, remove all cardboard and plastic packaging before putting it in the bin.
Compost Only Bin
Tea bags, coffee grinds, waste fruit and vegetables peelings,
bread. Please note that you must take the stickers off your
fruit peeling etc., prior to putting it in the compost bin,
as these are made of plastic and will not decompose. Again no
plastics, metals, condiment sachets etc., should go in the bin.
